How your weather ritual works

1. You tell us about your day

Our ritual form asks for your date, location, setting (outdoor, partly outdoor or indoor with outdoor photos), what worries you most about the weather, and optionally your names. It takes about a minute.

2. Your intention is written

Every ritual starts with a written intention naming your place, your date and the sky you hope for. We also note the moon phase on your date. A waxing moon is traditionally tied to growth and drawing things in; a waning moon to releasing and sending away, such as storms.

3. The ritual is cast

In the nights before your day, your weather witch performs a candle ritual with herbs traditionally associated with sun and protection, such as bay, rosemary, marigold and chamomile. Your intention is read aloud and the candle burns down in the open air. The signature ritual repeats this on three nights. The full coven blessing adds a final short ritual on the morning of your day.

4. You receive proof and your blessing

You'll get photos (and video for the signature ritual) of your ritual being performed, plus a written blessing for your day. Couples often read it the morning of the wedding or include it in their keepsakes.

What we will never do

• Promise to control the weather, because nobody honestly can.
• Upsell you "curse removals" or claim you're in spiritual danger.
• Charge you without performing your ritual. If we can't cast it before your date, you get a full refund.
